Chopper’s loyalty to his special human goes deeper than being given delicious beef bones and having a comfy couch to snooze on!

The wild ancestors of our present day pooches teamed up with humans for protection, hunting and other mutually beneficial reasons to do with survival in tough conditions.

Dogs are social animals and over many years of working alongside and being cared for by people, now think of us as part of their pack. This may be one of the reasons why dogs are so loyal and thrive with human companionship. Being highly intuitive to human emotions and blatant (adorable!) displays of affection are ways in which pooches can demonstrate their loyalty.

We still need to do our bit! Strengthening the bond and repaying the loyalty of our canine companions can be done through spending time with them in training, outings and play. Check out this article here for more information about why our pooches just love us to bits.
