When did you first read this publication?
I started to read the magazine around six months ago. There are lots of gaming magazines at the newsagent, but this one had the most interesting and professional covers, with pictures of new games on them.
Can you describe it in your own words?
It reviews games for all types of consoles, Wii, PlayStation, Xbox and PC’s. It has a lot of information on new games coming out, as well as reviews and news about games in general. I like the reviews that are written by the same person, not the group reviews. You can’t always trust group reviews written by lots of different people. Sometimes in the magazine there is information on cheats you can use in a game. I don’t like using cheats. It ruins the game and makes it feel less important.
Why do you love it?
Because I love video games! I like to know about new games that are coming out so I know which games I want to buy. Also, the covers look great which is always important. If the cover art looks good, it means that the people are doing their job well because they are getting paid more. That means the magazine will be better than other ones out there. Also, the language in the magazine is easy to understand. It is good for lots of different age groups.
When / where do you read it?
On the way home from school in the car, right after I get in from the shop. Then when I get home, either on the couch or in my room. I like to be comfortable!
Would you read it online? Why or why not?
I like the paper version better. It’s good to fill up your bookshelves and have the paper version in your room. It also helps you remember the information better when you read the paper version instead of online. You remember to read the magazine more often because it is on your bookshelf. It is a physical object.
